To those who want to know where I'll be during the Feist-ivities...

Of course, there shall be the pre-game fights in the basement of the ASU Athletic Department, beneath Sun Devil Stadium, outside the weightroom.

Other than that, well, I’ll be around in the dark—I’ll be everywhere. Wherever you can look—wherever there's a fight, so hungry people can eat, I’ll be there. Wherever there’s a cop beating up a guy, I’ll be there. I’ll be there in the way guys yell when they’re mad. I’ll be there in the way kids laugh when they’re hungry, and they know supper’s ready, and when people are eatin’ the stuff they raised, and livin’ in the houses they built, I’ll be there, too. And I'll be there in the way a robot takes a moment to recognize powerful emotions in people, emotions He can now feel in himself. I'll be there as Ohio State fans get lost trying to get out of the Stadium. Whenever a bottle of Nyquil is tipped back and the green nectar flows in joy, I'll be there. Yes, there shall I be, and more, for I cover a great deal of real estate in my density.

I'll show my Temper in Tempe, but things shall be Festive at the Fiesta. The New Year shall bring great joy to the Irish, as the 100 game undefeated run opens the year with win #6 in a row. Put it in stone.

0 for 8 in bowl games.

You all can apologize to me now.

Or go back and read my prediction that ND would get burned on the deep ball. I hate to say I was right...nah, I love it. Losers.

Good Luck next season, domers. I'm sure you'll be blessed by your usual combination of favorable scheduling and favorable calls.

Have you learned your lesson, now, Marco? Stop embarrassing the rest of us ND people with your idiocy.

VFR'ing really had her panties in a bunch, just waiting to be the first person to post here slamming on Notre Dame, didn't she? Must be sad, to have nothing better to do than continually try to insult other schools.

Isn't that the purpose of this blog? It's not like there has been intelligent discussion about football here.

Ever heard of humor? Satire? Hmm, apparently not.

Going to sites devoted to other/rival teams and bagging on them is pretty sad.

Oh, please people. As for the non-ND people, I hope you are around to own up to your comments next year when things will be different. Your kind always come around when things are down, and hide in the bushes when they aren't. And you only wish whatever school you root for had won as much, achieved as much, and kicked ass as much as Notre Dame has. The nastiness is back, and it will be even better next year.

And as for the ND people, I get a big kick out of Marco's comments. It's fun to read something written with a sense of humor. It's a game! It's meant to be fun. Although I read the more serious ND blogs, sometimes I feel like I am reading an analysis of the potential for nuclear war (that goes for other teams' fan blogs as well). There is a place for humor in these endeavors.

Fight on, Marco.

OK, Domers. I owe you an apology. I am pretty much as big as an a**hole as you will find. But compared to my fellow fans, I am just one of the bunch. Can you forgive me? After all, it is easy for one's emotions to get the best oneself, especially when it involves Notre Dame.

I admit that I am jealous of your school. I am jealous of what Notre Dame is, and what it stands for. I am jealous of your pristine campus, while ours is just a big pile of poo. I am jealous of the fact you guys graduate players, while we just, well, we just play thugs. I am jealous of the fact that your school will always be a better school than Ohio St. I am jealous of the fact that the Big Eleven has been holding out for you to join our conference, but we both know you never will. But how can I blame you. Notre Dame is a special school. It is so different from the Big Eleven schools. And I hate that. I hate that you can be Catholic, private, have high academic standards, and still excel in practically all sports, not to mention football, which yours has unparalleled tradition and excellence.

Heck, one of our former running backs, who we so love, just got caught for armed robbery. He was putting that one year of OSU education to good use. And Tressel our coach, despite his sweater vest and clean cut image, has a history of cheating back to his days at Youngstown St. But this is a secret, no one knows this.

If you don't already know it, I have this inferiority complex. That is why I come to this site and troll your comments. Even in victory, I feel that I have to prove myself, because I know Ohio St doesn't measure up to ND. And it makes me feel big inside, but what can you expect from a product of Ohio St? That's right, Marco, you get a dummy without a sense of humor !!! Don't you ever call Ohio State "Ohio Late" again. Because we are so awesome, and we know it, and everyone knows it!!!

Hmmm, the funny thing is that - althought Bike Boy was trying to be sarcastic - his post is actually pretty close to the truth right up until the last two sentences.

I'm glad to hear that someone finally admits that Tressel-led programs do have a long history of...questionable...recruiting/booster/ethical atmospheres. Some shady things happened at Youngstown State, and the debacle of violations and player arrests at OSU attests to the fact that Tressel cares far more about results on the field than in the character of his team. That lumps him in with the miasma of many other coaches who ran seedy programs. You don't see many coaches suspend a starting player for the rest of the season after a drunk driving arrest, do you? Charlie Weis is showing that you can have character and still win.

So what are we going on, 12 years without a bowl win?

Maybe George O'Leary is still available.
